My friend Ashley, who lives in Honduras is taking care of a little girl named Isabel. Isabel is four years old and has Cerebral Palsy among a few other things and is needing care that she can't receive in Honduras. Isabel has been accepted to the Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport, LA and is now trying to get a Visa so that she can leave Honduras and come here to the states to get the care that her life depends on. PLEASE pray for Isabel's life and pray that the process of getting a Visa goes quickly and smoothly so she can come here and get the proper treatments and care that she is needing. Please pray for Ashley too as she works to get everything together to get Isabel to Shreveport. You can go here to learn more about Isabel's story. * I graduate in 47 days, turn 18 in 56 days, and leave for Honduras in 62 days. I'm not too sure how I feel about all of that today. I don't want today to end. I don't want anything to change. Maybe I'll feel differently tomorrow.
*Time flies when you are having fun. I'm not sure where the last seven months of my life went. It feels like just yesterday I was at God's Girls in PA, and that was in October.
*Cherish the time that you share with the people you love. Don't ever take it for granted. Soak in every minute you have with them, and remember to tell them daily that you love them.
*I'm going to be in Honduras for almost 5 months. That's a long time. It's going to be so hard to be away from family, friends, and especially my girls. But I know I'm going to love every single minute of being there. But today, I would be ok if it were just a little farther away, I'm sure I'll feel differently tomorrow..
* June 15th and July 3rd are going to be the two hardest days of my life. Having your best friends, who somehow became family, walk through security to board a plane without you is no fun at all.
* Hugs never get old.
*Seeing someone that you haven't seen in forever makes my heart skip a beat.
* Fact of life: You'll never catch up on sleep.
*I love warm weather and I love going on walks to the secret place to watch the sunset.
*Wearing flip flops brightens my day. And laying in the grass watching the stars puts a smile on my face. [ I know, it doesn't take much to make this girl happy]
* I have decided that I like big families. I keep adopting people as family members and I love it. You can just never have too many sisters.
* I have come to realize that the relationships that I cherish the most are the ones that I can't explain. God has placed some of the most amazing people on this earth in my life, and somehow I get to call them family. I'm not sure how all of that works out because I sure as heck don't deserve it. And honestly, I can't even explain how these relationships came about or how they grew into what they've become. It's pretty amazing, and one of those things that I know God had a hand in.
* The future is scary.
*I love my girls. They are some of the most amazing people you'll ever meet.
* I hate goodbyes.
* I have a lot to learn this summer.
* I live a life I don't deserve.
* I'm tired of being me, I'm ready to be the girl God created me to be.
I'm sorry that was completely random, but those are just some thoughts that are bouncing around my head these days. I'll post more stuff later.
